Government & Defense

Understanding when it matters.

Operations rarely suffer from a complete lack of information. The harder problem is that useful information arrives from different people, sensors, systems and domains, often at different times and with different levels of confidence.

Recon Outfitters is developing situational awareness technology for search and rescue, emergency management, public safety, and field operations across government and defense. The aim is a clearer picture of what is happening, where it is happening and what the evidence supports.

Field first

Built from the field outward.

The first design question is not how much information a system can display. It is whether the person working the incident can actually use it.

Field teams may be tired, wet, disconnected, moving and already carrying too much equipment. Recon is designed around reducing that burden where possible, allowing useful observations and sensor information to contribute to the broader picture without turning operators into data-entry personnel.

The aim is a common operating picture that helps field teams and coordinating elements understand the same unfolding conditions, including where information is incomplete or uncertain.

Interoperability is part of the design.

Recon technologies have distinct responsibilities and can work together where useful. Working alongside the systems organizations already use is a development priority; each external integration needs engineering and validation.

Search, rescue & disaster operations

An intended use: bring team observations, last-known positions, terrain and changing conditions into useful context for time-critical decisions. The scene is illustrative, not a deployed rescue system.

Spectrum context

Standalone RF investigation, with future opportunities to relate RF evidence to a broader world model.

Illustrative concept

Build a clearer picture.

Recon is still in active development. The goal is straightforward: help people working complex operations understand more of what is happening without creating another system that gets in their way.
