Commercial & Public Sector

Operational understanding for the real world.

A utility crew, port operator or municipal field team may need to relate an equipment report to a location, changing weather and nearby activity. Those details often sit in separate systems and arrive at different times.

Recon is developing situational awareness technology for bringing those fragments into a clearer operating picture, whether the work involves infrastructure, transportation, coastal operations, environmental monitoring, industrial activity or teams in the field.

Technology follows the problem

Built around operations, not industries.

Recon technology is not divided into a government version and a commercial version. The same core technologies can support different organizations when the underlying problem is the same: information exists, but it is fragmented, difficult to relate or hard to use quickly.

The goal is to make operational information more understandable without forcing organizations into one rigid technology stack.

Work alongside what is already there.

Real organizations already have systems, sensors, software and workflows. Recon’s modular approach is intended to let individual technologies contribute where they are useful and exchange compatible information with other systems rather than requiring everything to be replaced.

Evidence-based research & analysis

Aquila

Research

Aquila’s long-term aim is a general-purpose, evidence-based research and analytical framework for investigating complex questions. It is intended to follow evidence across sources, relationships and chronology, test competing hypotheses and make contradictions and missing information explicit.

Its current proving ground is the Ninth Legion historical research program. That work uses a structured methodology, evidence records, a linked research workbook and documented hypotheses to develop evidence-supported answers while preserving uncertainty and source provenance.

Future applications include assessing entire operations: how decisions, resources, coordination and changing conditions affected outcomes, which alternative approaches might have helped and what could improve. Spatial and temporal reconstruction, simulation and replay are possible analytical methods within that broader inquiry.

The broader framework remains a future product direction. General-purpose research software, autonomous research workflows, whole-operation assessment software, simulation and replay software, a mature spatial reconstruction engine and Janus integration are not yet implemented.
