3D visualization & interaction

Argus

Active development

Argus provides 3D operational visualization of the world represented by Janus. It gives an operator an interactive way to explore spatial context, select what matters and inspect the evidence behind what is shown.

Current foundation

Explore the operational world in 3D.

The current viewer presents Janus world state, including supported aviation, maritime and mobile tracks, environmental observations and weather layers. Selection, source and layer controls, and evidence inspection support geospatial situational awareness.

Operator interaction includes inspecting state and evidence and working with supported attention and incident views. The display reflects the underlying Janus state, including its source and geographic-context limits.

Development direction

Clearer presentation and operator workflows.

Presentation, model readability and operator experience remain in active development. Richer mission-focused views and time exploration are further directions.

Visualization of compatible external data remains exploratory. The current implementation is a Janus viewer, not a verified standalone general-purpose GIS product.

Architecture & independence

Janus owns the operational world model and maintains its state independently of the viewer. Argus is an optional presentation and interaction layer for that world; it does not become the system of record.
